Hey Beauties.
Welcome back to the blog!
It’s a DIY show and tell today, woohoo…
Making my own clothes is fast becoming a favourite of mine. My style is constantly changing and I love the fact that I can make a garment to suit my mood. We are in the heart of summer in the U.K. Even though we don’t get a constant stream of sunlight daily, I enjoy wearing loads of prints & colours this season. Last week, I made a pair of print palazzo pants with Ankara fabric.
“Ankara commonly known as “African prints”,”African wax prints” “Holland wax” and “Dutch wax”, is a 100% cotton fabric with vibrant patterns. It is usually a colorful cloth and is primarily associated with Africa because of its tribal-like patterns and motifs” All Things Ankara
I purchased the fabric online from Middlesex textiles for a bargain!
I knew I wanted to make fun pants with loose legs, this way my legs have room to breathe on very warm summer days. To go with these pants, I made a simple white bardot blouse with sheer textured mix of fabrics. The simplicity of the blouse worked well with the eccentricity of the palazzo pants.
Enjoy the photos.
