Get the Basics Right
Often times, lack of self confidence stems from the fact that we don’t know who we really are. Our generation has created this ‘perfect’ and ideal body through the media, both online and in magazines. The reality is that we are all so different and beautiful in our diversity. Start by clearly accepting who you are and not letting anyone define what you should look like or do with your life. A good place to start is to discover what body shape you have. Are you a voluptuous pear shaped woman? A curvy Amazonian hourglass? After defining who you are and finding out what body shape you have, you’ll be able a lot easier for fashion items that will flatter your body the most. It has been proven that wearing clothes you feel good in boosts how you feel about yourself positively.
It’s all in -Your Mind-
The mind is an unseen force that controls most of your actions subconsciously. I remember seeing a quote by Queen Latifah which says ‘It is not the dress that makes you sexy, often times it is the woman wearing the dress’. I completely agree. If you do not feel good about yourself, nothing you wear will change how you see yourself.
Now that we have established the fact that you need to know who you are, what body shape you have and the importance of feeling good about yourself, the last and final step is to be open to making some changes. We all want a better life but only a few are actually ready to make the required changes to set the progress in motion. Take a firm decision today, not tomorrow, not next summer, but today, to make some changes in your life. If you need to change your personal style, do it. Being fearless doesn’t mean you aren’t scared, it actually means facing that situation or person with whatever fear you might have and not letting the fear win.
There are a lot more that have to be considered when it comes to confidence which I didn’t mention in today’s post but all I have said above are the very basics if you truly desire a more confident you.
