I don’t know
if its the notes,
If its the drums or the flutes,
But the beautiful harmony of good music is a priceless gift God blessed man with.
Not everyone is able to make good music,
Not everyone can sing, rap or play a musical instrument.
But whether its hip hop, gospel, country, high life, alternative, soft or hardcore rock, music has a unique effect on the human system like nothing else.

The chills you get when listening to music, especially good music, is caused by the release of dopamine in your body.
The chills are associated with a moment of pleasure caused by dopamine peaks with emotional arousal revealed by brain imaging techniques carried out by scientist.
This effect that music has is quite unique compared to other pleasures such as eating food, sex and other tangible rewards.

I personally love music and it has been my fortress of ‘calm-itude'(if there’s a word like that) for as long as i can remember.
Moments when words can’t calm or soothen my sour mood,it has a way of absorption all the mess; when tear drops only recognize the minor and major notes; when the sadness of disappointments burden, music crawls in like an uninvited friend once turned on and with its warm embrass lightens the ‘load’; when the world turns its ‘bum’ on you,the shoulder of music is always there, offering solace.

Music has been part of every major event in our lives; i mean as Africans, our naming ceremonies, weddings, funerals amongst a host of other occassions are not complete without music.
So lets look at it this way, music was there when you were born; when you’ll or when you got married; and when you’ll return to your Creator.
Knowingly or not, it has grown deep into the fabric of our lives, culture and personalities in varying degrees.
Be it the stringy pleasurable sound the violin gives, the beautiful raindrop-like sound of the piano, the sound of the flute likened to that of singing birds, the boisterous talking drum ever ready to converse its richness to a listener with the aid of a gifted player………
After God, music amongst a few other things are what i can’t do without…correction,i can’t live without because it more than sound and rythme to me; its a way of life, an avenue of expression, an outlet for joy, passion, bliss, sorrow, love, hate, beauty, liberation, peace and its a language that every race, tribe, colour or tongue under the sun understands.I know i’m not alone in this school of thought although some people do not fancy the art so much,I believe God had me in mind when He made music.

Just ignore d name, its really not important…so dat was a nice write up, I mean, coming 4rm sm1 like me. I’m not exactly a vry gud writer myself bt I still have issues with Nigerian writers when writing about smtin (in dis case music) . I’m 1 who believes dat intense research, which we fail 2 carry out, provides answers n yields good results, so I carefully picked out these lines in ur write up: “The chills you get when listening to music, especially good music, is caused by the release of dopamine in your body”,… “The chills are associated with a moment of pleasure caused by dopamine peaks with emotional arousal revealed by brain imaging techniques carried out by scientist”. Wherever you got those 4rm, dat was a nice n required lift. Then again, is ur way with words like when u wrote “Be it the stringy pleasurable sound the violin gives (u say pleasurable sound, I say SEXY sound my dear…lol), the beautiful raindrop-like sound of the piano, the sound of the flute likened to that of singing birds, the boisterous talking drum ever ready to converse its richness to a listener with the aid of a gifted player…” that was cool but there’s always room 4 improvements. Pretty much every writer should have dat inbuilt skill of playing around with bad ass, SEXY words n xpressions dat culd send chills 2 a spine n bring about goose pimples 2 d reader u knw, so get that going. Well, in d final analysis I culd say u did well n there’s always a start 2 evrytin so keep writing n keep being urself, unlike some of us dat still haven’t grown enuff balls 2 write just 2 lines *wink*…always keep dis in mind, “there’s room 4 improvements” sufficient ones @ dat.

D power of music cannot be measured or quantified…They say when you are happy you enjoy d music;when you are sad u understand d lyrics, and try to figure out how d lines describe u…Music is a very powerful tool, and a good way of expressing oneself when every other thing fails…I love music(good music,no particular genre)…This is a great write up dear…Great job!
